About Qigong

Qigong (Chi Kung)

  • Has been used for over 2000 years

  • Early morning sessions can be seen in most villages and cities in the Far East

  • Is routinely taught to patients in Chinese hospitals

Drawing Threads is a good introduction

The Emei Series forms a balanced sequence which

  • increases energy and natural immunity

  • regulates the emotions

  • stabilises weight

  • improves strength and balance

Take it gently and always stop before you are tired, and you will gradually restore your energy

You are welcome to use the videos and help sheets on this site and you will find many more resources on Peter Deadman's excellent website.

Emei Qigong Series

Full Sequence video (18 min)

The movement from 9:00 to 11:00 is modified in this version.

The full movement works strongly on the lowest part of the spine - great if you are fit but not such good news if you aren't. If you find even the modified movement too much, try the one from 11:00 to 12:30 instead

Individual sections:

Moon in Blue Sea, and Clear Water

Rowing In The Gentle Breath  and Floating To The Heavens

Setting The Crown Straight

Chasing The Rabbit By Crossing The Rainbow and Destroy Enemy With Iron Arm

Three Troops and Finishing Form
